ASPO, ASSOCIATION FOR THE STUDY OF PEAK OIL & GAS – USA
The Association for the Study of Peak Oil & Gas – USA is a non-profit, non-partisan research and public education initiative to address America's peak oil energy challenge. The research is based around the Hubbert Peak Theory which shows that the petroleum production rate, either in a specific region or across the globe, tends to follow a bell-shaped curve whereby production increases rapidly, hits a peak, and then descends just as rapidly as it increased. The photograph of a roller coaster at its peak and the ASPO logo convey how much petroleum we have left by using the bell-shaped curve of the Hubbert Peak Theory.
